Soil pH Test Kit (check your soil acidity and alkalinity)

A pH tester is an essential in our garden toolkit. If you’ve ever ‘bought’ in soil in bulk before from a garden centre or in bags, you may find that your plants are yellow, veined and struggling to flourish. No matter how much fertiliser you throw at it, they are stunted and yellow.

This is likely because your soil pH is out of whack, and when the pH is wrong plants can’t absorb certain nutrients. Unless you test your pH it could be completely off the charts, as I’ve found when we’ve tested ours. Only then can you know what amendments you need to use to correct your soil pH. It will save you so much money in the long-run, and we have been using our test kit for years and it’s still going, so many tests in each pack.
